Dear CIPS Members, Volunteers, and Partners,
As we approach the end of the year, I would like to take a moment to extend my sincere thanks and warm season’s greetings to the entire CIPS community.
This past year has been one of continued change, opportunity, and growth for the IT profession in Canada. Across the country, CIPS members have demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and a strong commitment to ethical and responsible technology practice. Your dedication to continuous learning, career development, and service to the profession is what strengthens CIPS and the broader IT community we represent.
On behalf of the CIPS National Board, I would like to express my appreciation to our volunteers, provincial leaders, committee members, and partners. Your time, expertise, and passion are essential to delivering programs, events, certifications, and initiatives that support IT professionals at every stage of their careers. CIPS would not be able to fulfill its mission without you.

I would also like to thank our members for your ongoing engagement and trust in CIPS as Canada’s Association of IT Professionals. Whether you are pursuing certification, participating in professional development, mentoring others, or simply staying connected to the community, your involvement helps advance the profession and uphold the standards we stand for.
As we look ahead to the coming year, CIPS remains focused on supporting your professional growth, strengthening the value of our certifications, and promoting professionalism, ethics, and excellence in IT across Canada. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to continuing this journey together.
I wish you and your families a restful holiday season and a healthy, successful, and fulfilling year ahead.
Season’s greetings and best wishes,
Trevor McDonald, I.S.P., ITCP
Chair, CIPS National Board
