The Information Technology team is responsible for providing advice and expertise on IT strategy, infrastructure, design, building, and maintenance of the IT systems within the organization and currently is seeking a: Director, Information Technology

Based in Winnipeg, this important role is a rare and exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated professional. The Director, Information Technology (IT) is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational IT functions for CCGA. The role contributes to the corporate strategy and direction as well as serves as an executive face to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring IT systems and staff are effective and functioning within budgeted limits, time and specifications based on requirements. The Director works closely with other senior leaders to develop long-term strategies to advance the goals and objectives of CCGA. The Director, IT is a member of the CCGA senior management leadership team.

Reporting to the President & CEO, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • oversee, direct, plan, and schedule all technology operations and provide evaluations according to established goals. Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of organization’s goals and strategies.
  • strategic and long-term planning for IT enhancements with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility and growth of CCGA’s position as the largest cash advance administrator in Canada and overall CCGA success.
  • provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentorship to IT staff to ensure success in key result areas.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related discipline and minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT including people management experience in an IT-related environment. 
  • exceptional knowledge of IT systems and software development working on complex web-based applications; a specific emphasis on usability and performance.
  • strategic thinking, with strong experience in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems.
  • demonstrated leadership skills and team management expertise; an ability to mentor a team of staff and coach to high performance.
  • exceptional ability to drive partnerships, alignment, and communication across all functions of the business.
  • professionalism, good judgement, and high ethics in representing CCGA’s interests essential.
