MuniSoft is seeking an individual to work as a test and troubleshooting developer. This person will work with the rest of the Research and Development team to ensure that the software meets the company’s high standards of quality by designing, creating, and maintaining a variety of automated tools to assist in testing the software. At MuniSoft, all staff members are encouraged to make program and procedural suggestions and have the opportunity to see those changes implemented and how they directly impact the clients.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Although our preference is to have you work from one of our branch offices in Regina, SK or Kingston, ON, we will consider all locations within Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Write code to test software non-interactively using Visual Studio and .NET Framework Test API

Monitor and maintain test code and test data

Follow-up on test failures and enter bugs into work management software Implement additional testing tools to work with software via the UI

Act as “second-tier” software support – researching and reporting on issues found by end-users and first-tier software support

Update and maintain testing documentation

Assist with manual testing or software development as required


Possess a post-secondary degree or certificate in Computer Science from a recognized educational institution

Familiarity and experience with code-based testing tools as well as script-based automated testing products

Strong commitment to developing quality software Ability to quickly learn and adapt

Driven, self-starter that can work with minimal guidance and direction

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to learn independently

Periodic travel for onsite training, conventions, or staff meetings

  • Note: MuniSoft’s Annual General Meeting will be September 25-29, 2023. All staff are required to attend.

Starting salary range is $60,000 – $80,000/year based on applicable experience
