CIPS Connections – April 11th 2008

CIPS would like to congratulate the latest recipients of the Information Systems Professional of Canada (I.S.P.) designation. The I.S.P. is Canada’s only IT designation recognized by law* in Canada.

In today’s competitive workplace, being certified as an I.S.P. is just the edge you need to gain an advantage. An I.S.P. after your name tells prospective clients and employers that you have achieved and will maintain high standards of competency and ethical behaviour in the planning, analysis, design, implementation and procurement of information systems.

* The I.S.P. is legislated as a self-regulating designation in six provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Other provinces are working toward similar legislation through their provincial government.
