Trish Bishop
Bio: With more than 25 years of large-scale Information Technology Program and Project Management experience, Trish’s expertise is in bringing solutions from vision to implementation. As the National Project Manager for one of the first Internet Service Providers in Canada, Trish quickly found her niche as a ‘translator’ with an exceptional ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions. Throughout her career, Trish has honed what she refers to as her ‘Rock Star Skills’. Trish identified these skills by carefully watching the skills and behaviours of people who absolutely dominate in their arena. Topic: The Value of Building Rock Star Teams Being a Leader of Rock Star Teams requires significant shifts for the team…and the Leader. It’s important to understand both the tactical and strategic drivers and benefits of building a Rock Star team so Leaders can remain committed to that path. – Tyler Willox is the Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at ISM Canada – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kyndryl (formerly IBM), headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan. In his role, Mr. Willox is committed to Saskatchewan’s Growth Plan: The Next Decade of Growth 2020-2030 and is working with some of leading companies in Canada to expand the technology ecosystem, create new Saskatchewan technology jobs and triple the industry by 2030. – Mark Borgares has held executive positions including CEO, CFO and CTO within the fintech, investment, co-operative, and health sectors. Always passionate about leadership and innovation, Mark is a sustainability expert, a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, and a venture capitalist. Mark has been immersed in innovation systems from Israel to Silicon Valley, and is a speaker on technology trends, innovation and sustainability, most recently serving as a judge for the UofR Innovation Challenge 2023 and an adjudicator for the Competent Board’s ESG designation program. – Monica Field has more than 30 years of experience in within the Government of Saskatchewan with more than 12 years at a leadership role at an executive level. Monica holds a Degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina. Monica has led several large initiatives throughout her career and has served on numerous committees and Boards, providing leadership, coaching and guidance. Her work experience extends to leading several large IT/IM initiatives throughout Executive Government including the establishment of a very successful Business Intelligence/Data Analytics practice for the 2 largest Ministries within Government of Saskatchewan i.e., Ministry of Justice and Attorney General/Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety. Erica Sigurdson (Keynote)
Bio: Vancouver-based Erica Sigurdson has been delighting audiences across Canada and beyond for close to two decades. Having been described as a ‘sugar-coated razor blade’ she is equal parts charming and sardonic with her take on the world around her. She has been featured over to 50 times on the hit show The Debaters on CBC Radio, performed at every major comedy festival in Canada as well as performed in Singapore, The Philippines, Thailand, Afghanistan and Iceland. She is also an advocate for Type 1 diabetes awareness, having lived with Type 1 since the age of 10.
