IT Professionalism Week 2023

I.T. Professionalism Week is a yearly celebration held by CIPS (Canada’s Association of IT Professionals) across Canada. CIPS hopes to increase awareness about the importance of professionalism, ethics, and standards in the IT industry and profession today. This week is also a time to celebrate CIPS and our professionalism resources. I.T. Professionalism Week is being held this year from Monday October 30th to Friday November 3rd 2023. Help us raise IT standards and contact your local CIPS Provincial Society for details on how you can get involved with CIPS today. IFIP Annual Board Meeting (Hosted by CIPS in Toronto)

From March 25th to 27th CIPS will be hosting IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) for their annual board meeting in Toronto, Ontario. On Monday March 25th (8am - 4:30pm ET) there will be a joint CIPS IFIP workshop on: “How can IT be used to address societal issues especially as regards to the environment and global warming. How can we in Canada create and foster conditions that stimulate the creation of new companies intent on making the world a “healthier” place.”   The annual IFIP board meeting will then take place on March 26th and 27th.
